Exercise 5.1 Class 9 Notes

Here we have provided you with the best math class 9 exercise 5.1 notes.

Exercise 5.1 of class 9 is an introductory exercise of one of the most important topic in mathematics.

Topic used in this exercise are listed below.

Content of Exercise 5.1 class 9

This exercise consists of 5 main questions consisting of 4-6 parts in each question. All of these questions are related to basics of factorization. In every question we need to factorize the given algebric expression.Initial questions are easy and beginners can quickly solve them as we go further the questions becomes difficult.

If you can clearly understand the concept thats good but if you can’t then we recommend you to watch our video of this exercise where we have provided in depth knoweledge related to factorization.

If you completly understood used in this exercise then thats awesome but if you did’nt get it then we also have some basic factorization problem which you help you completly grasp the concept.

What is factorizations?

A process in which we breaks a polynomial in to smaller pieces and then if we multiply those pieces we get the original polynomial this process is called factorization and those small pieces are called factors.

How to factorize an algebric expression?

We can factorize an algebric expression by the following steps

  1. First step of taking common.By taking common we mean that there should be atleast a single value which is divisible by every term in the polynomial.
  2. If there is’nt anything which we can common we move to the next step.
  3. Use of Algebric Formulas
  4. If we can’t use algebric formulas then we move ahead to the final step
  5. Finally we break the middle term and make pairs of it which satisfy the original algebric expression.

Example Solves

Here is an example solve through which you can clearly understand the concept of factorization

2x+6xy

In the above example we can see that 2x is divisible by both of the terms in above example so we take 2x common

2x(1 + 3y)

Once we take common we get the factors of the original expression
